![]() The kse.exe also handles pretty much all possible errors, but in this case the error message comes from java.exe. And when kse.exe is executed, it searches for a Java runtime in different locations and then runs a similar command like the one that you used in your script file. It associates the keystore file types with the launcher program "kse.exe". The installer doesn't even know about a main class. Somehow the installer does not register the main class properly for my system. Therefore I would be very grateful if you could help with finding the cause of this issue. There might be thousands of KSE users with the same problem. I am taking any bug report here very seriously because most users don't take the time to write bug reports. Unless you have other suggestions that I can try? Could you please uninstall both versions and do a file search for "kse.exe" on your whole computer? And if that doesn't find anything search for "kse.jar".Īnyway, if it's just me that has this problem and 5.4.4 does not have any large security holes, then I'll just keep using that. ![]() I think what wrote might be a possible explanation: There is still somewhere a damaged KSE installation on your computer. ![]() ![]() The paths for the per-user installation are different:ĥ.4.4: c:\Program Files (x86)\KeyStore Explorer\ĥ.5.1: %LocalAppData%\Programs\KeyStore Explorerīut even if you have both versions installed at the same time that should not cause the error from your screenshot. Did you explicitly select a different installation folder? So installing 5.5.1 should have replaced 5.4.4. The standard installation folder is " c:\Program Files (x86)\KeyStore Explorer\" for both versions. #Keystore explorer jks upgrade#I had a 5.4.4 before and the installation of 5.5.1 did nog upgrade that version, but installed it as a separate app. ![]()
